LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in Lamb County accused of indecency with a child younger than 14 years of age.
37-year-old Pedro Ortiz faces three counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact, a second degree felony.
On March 12, 2025, an officer with the Lubbock ISD Police Department told investigators the victim had made an outcry she was inappropriately touched.
Investigators were advised by a witness the victim was touched inappropriately multiple times on different occasions back in 2024.
The police report indicates Ortiz threatened the victim if she told anyone about the incident.
Ortiz is being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a combined bond of $150,000.
