When No. 8 BYU takes on No. Texas Tech, it will be the first Big 12 matchup between top-10 teams since 2021. For Texas Tech, it is the first time they’ve been favored over a top-10 opponent since 2008, back when Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree were walking the sidelines. ESPN College Gameday will be in Lubbock, Texas to start off the day of college football.
The only other matchup between two ranked teams comes in the SEC, as No. 3 Texas A&M travel north to face No. 19 Missouri.
Notre Dame are the highest-ranked two-loss team, as they rise up to No. 10 and will host Navy at 7:30 p.m. in South Bend.
Out in the Big Ten, No. 2 Indiana will be favored for the first time in program history against Penn State. This will be the 28th meeting between the two schools, and the last time they faced off in 2023, the Nittany Lions were 30.5-point favorites according to ESPN Research.
At night on ABC, No. 4 Alabama will welcome LSU to Tuscaloosa. Alabama opens as 10.5-point favorites over the struggling Tigers, and are 8-2 ATS as home favorites under head coach Kalen DeBoer.
