PLANO (KDAF) — Plano, Texas, will host a series of community celebrations for Juneteenth and America’s 250th anniversary, with events scheduled from June 17 through July 4.

Following the cook-off, the Main Event: Written In The Stone Douglass Community BBQ Festival will take place from 3-8:30 p.m. on June 20 at the Plano Boys and Girls Club. The festival will include food trucks, spoken word performances, a Kids Zone and live entertainment. Free barbecue will be available for a limited time.

Plano’s All American 4th! will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary on July 4 at 6 p.m. at Oak Point Park Special Events Field.
