On Tuesday, the SEC released the home-away designations for the 2026-27 season’s conference games. Dates, times and television information for these contests will be announced later.
Of note to Texas, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt will come to Austin this upcoming winter while the Longhorns must travel to LSU, Kentucky and Oklahoma. Those South Carolina and Tennessee games will give the Longhorns a chance to host Texas transfers Jordan Lee and Aaliyah Moore. A return to Oklahoma for junior guard Zya Vann, who transferred to UT in April after starting her college career with the Sooners, was also made possible by this schedule.
Additionally, the SEC has set up games both in Austin and College Station between Texas and Texas A&M. The Longhorns last had a home-and-home series with the Aggies during the 2011-12 season.
Since Texas and Oklahoma joined the SEC two years ago, conference play has featured teams playing at least one game against every opponent in the league and two games against one foe. During its 2024-25 campaign, Texas played South Carolina twice. This past season, the Longhorns had a home-and-home series with LSU.
South Carolina and LSU have both won a national championship in the past five years, so their assignment as UT’s home-and-home opponent drew the ire of Texas coach Vic Schaefer. This year, though, Texas gets two games against a Texas A&M program that has made the NCAA Tournament just once in the past five years.
