FRISCO — Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said quarterback Dak Prescott will be limited in Tuesday’s minicamp practice with a sore knee.
Schottenheimer said Prescott will do some seven-on-seven drills.
“Nothing we’re concerned about,” Schottenheimer said. “We’re just going to be smart in these last couple of days.”
Tuesday is the first day of a three-day mandatory minicamp.
Prescott didn’t have any health issues in the 2025 season and played all 17 games. He played in just eight games in 2024 after suffering a hamstring tear.
In the last couple of years, Prescott has played a full season every other year, as he’s missed games in 2020 (ankle), 2022 (thumb) and 2024 (hamstring).
Prescott has said he’s not injury-prone and that the injuries he’s suffered over the years are just part of playing a physical game. The knee issue, on the surface, appears to be minor, with Schottenheimer expressing no concerns.
Among the players who will either miss or be limited in practice Tuesday are Malik Hooker (back), Jalen Thompson (pectoral), Donovan Ezeiruaku (hip), DaRon Bland (foot) and James Houston (back).
