Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Sandra was born on July 23,1959, in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, to Alejandro Fisher Romero and Martha Valenzuela. Driven by determination, courage, and a dream for a better future, Sandra came to the United States in 1980. She continued her career as a welder, in a male-dominated industry with the same fearless spirit that would come to define her life. Through perseverance, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication, Sandra proudly became a citizen of the United States – an accomplishment she treasured deeply. Becoming an American citizen was a testament to her strength, independence, and determination, qualities that shaped every aspect of her life. Her welding career led her to Pacific Scientific where Sandra met the man of her dreams, Danny Silva. Their love story began on the production floor and grew into a marriage that would span 32 beautiful years. Together they built a life rooted in faith, laughter, adventure, and strong devotion to family. Through every joy and hardship, they remained devoted partners and were each other’s greatest source of strength. Sandra and Danny created a home filled with love, hospitality, and faith, leaving a legacy that will continue through the generations that follow. After making Texas her home in 2004, Sandra embraced the Lone Star State. With a heart as big as Texas, she became known for her outgoing spirit, generosity, and ability to make friends everywhere she went. Sandra’s life was a testament to resilience, perseverance, and faith. Fearless, hardworking, and full of life, she approached every challenge with determination. She often credited God’s grace for carrying her through life’s greatest trials and remained steadfast in her belief that the Lord was always watching over her. Together they raised five daughters, whom Sandra loved fiercely and supported wholeheartedly. After the birth of their younger daughters, Sandra stepped away from her career to devote herself to raising her family. As her children grew, she returned to the workforce and dedicated many years to serving the Fort Worth community through nonprofit and community-development organizations, including Fort Worth Housing Solutions and the Tarrant Area Food Bank, where she recently retired. A devoted woman of faith, Sandra was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she faithfully attended the sacraments for more than two decades. As a devoted Catholic mother, one of Sandra’s greatest blessings was witnessing her daughter, Sister Matthew Marie, Dominican Sister (formerly Deanna Silva), dedicate her life to Christ and His Church. Sandra’s strong faith, grit and drive helped shape the lives of the five women she raised. She took immense pride in the women they became, the families they built, and the faith they carried forward. Sandra lived boldly and loved generously. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit unforgettable, and her presence would light up any room. She embraced life fully and had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. To know Sandra was to feel like family. She never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel valued and loved. Known for her incredible cooking and the homemade salsa that family and friends eagerly requested, Sandra would turn even the simplest gathering into a celebration. Around her kitchen table, she made everyone feel at home and created memories that will be cherished for generations. Outside of the kitchen, Sandra loved thrifting, gardening, interior decorating, crafting and spending time with her grandchildren. Above all else, Sandra’s greatest joy was her family. She poured her heart into raising her five daughters and rejoiced as her family continued to grow through sixteen cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Though Sandra endured the profound heartbreak of losing her daughter, Alejandra Marie Silva McDonald, she carried her memory in her heart every day and looked forward to the joy of being reunited with her in Heaven. Sandra’s love, guidance, and unwavering support created a legacy that will continue for generations. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Alejandra Marie Silva McDonald; her father, Alejandro Fisher Romero; and her brother, Manuel Gaston Romero. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Danny Silva; her mother, Martha Valenzuela; her daughters, Sandra Johanna Silva, Josie Vasquez and husband, Dylan Vasquez, Sister Matthew Marie ( Deanna Silva) and Cecile Payne and husband, James Payne; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family members; and many dear friends. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she now rests in the loving presence of Our Lord and His Mother. Her legacy of love, faith, resilience, generosity, devotion to family, and courageous determination will live on in all who were blessed to know her. We ask for continued prayers for the repose of her soul and for her loving family.
