EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso wants all the soccer fans out there to grab a lawn chair, put on your team colors and come visit Downtown for a community watch party during the World Cup.

Fans are invited to Cleveland Square Park at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 18 to watch Mexico take on South Korea on the giant outdoor screen located outside the Mexican American Cultural Center.

Whether you’re a die-hard fútbol fan or just looking for a great night out, the watch party offers an opportunity to come together and enjoy the excitement of the World Cup.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, find a spot, and enjoy an evening filled with soccer, community spirit, and family-friendly activities. The event will feature:

Soccer player card trading

Complimentary snacks while supplies last

A lively atmosphere to cheer on every save, goal, and memorable moment

The event is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for comfortable seating.

The community watch party is hosted by the City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department, the Mexican American Cultural Center, and Telemundo 48 El Paso.
