Clearfork master plan envisions expansion to banks of Trinity River
There’s a new plan for Clearfork that could see the mixed use development extend all the way to the banks of the Trinity River.
Denver-based Tryba Architects posted a copy of the plan on its website complete with renderings of what the new development could look like.
The development would be on a roughly 33 acre parcel directly south of Clearfork Main Street and west of Edwards Ranch Road, according to the renderings.
The development would complement the existing amenities while providing unique experiences connected to the river’s agricultural heritage, according to the plan page.
It would add apartment buildings, office spaces, a hotel and a marketplace filled with a local and national retailers, according to the renderings.
The marketplace would be next to Press Café and tie into the nearby Trinity Trail network, according to the plan.
The renderings also include space for a potential corporate headquarters, although specifics weren’t immediately available.
Representatives for Tryba Architects did not respond to a phone call and three emails from the Star-Telegram requesting comment.
The Clearfork development opened its doors in 2018, and is home to more than 40 stores. It’s seeing an expansion with the $15 million Offices at Clearfork development, slated to open in the first quarter of 2026.
That 70,000 square foot building at 5141 Marathon Ave. will be anchored by Wells Fargo, which is moving out of its location at the City Center tower.
In spring 2023, the city of Fort Worth and the developers of Clearfork proposed a $400 million expansion on 25 acres west of the intersection of Edwards Ranch Road and Clearfork Main Street.
The development would have been anchored by Autobahn Fort Worth’s luxury car dealerships, however, the proposal never materialized.
Cassco Development, which owns Clearfork, pivoted to relocate the Autobahn development to southwest Fort Worth.
