Grand Prairie is planning a new addition to its Vegas-style entertainment district at EpicCentral.
The city approved a new 360-degree immersive dome theater this week, planned as a standalone destination within the development.
The venue is expected to seat 400 people and feature “immersive visual programming designed to surround audiences in a fully enclosed dome environment.”
In a news release, the city said there are few comparable venues in Texas, but said the closest comparison would be the Omni Theater in Fort Worth.
City officials did not release construction plans or a timeline for when the new attraction could open.
