EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Chihuahuas scored five runs in the third inning en route to a 6-1 victory over the Reno Aces at Southwest University Park on Tuesday.
El Paso has now won seven of its last nine games and moves to 32-38. Reno falls to 30-40.
In the second inning, Reno struck first through a sacrifice fly from Christian Cerda. Manuel Pena tagged and scored to make it 1-0. In the bottom of the third, Carlos Rodriguez drove in Dylan Grego with an RBI single to tie the game. Nick Pratto and Nick Schnell each hit an RBI single in the inning, as the Chihuahuas rallied off five runs in the inning. Mason McCoy hit an RBI single in the fourth to cap off the 6-1 victory.
For El Paso, Jhony Brito pitched five innings and gave up one earned run. He struck out four batters and earned the win.

Grego was 3 for 4 and scored two runs.
For Reno, Kohl Drake pitched 2.2 innings and gave up five earned runs. He struck out seven batters, but took the loss.
Pena was 1 for 3 and scored the lone run for Reno.
On Tuesday, the two will face off once again in game two of the six-game series.
