All westbound lanes closed at I-20 and Cooper Street as police investigate a crash

Traffic is being diverted to the service road at the Matlock Road exit.

ARLINGTON, Texas — All westbound lanes of Interstate 20 are closed at Cooper Street while police investigate a crash, officials say. 

Traffic is being diverted to the service road at the Matlock Road exit. Police on scene confirm to WFAA this is a fatality accident involving a pedestrian. 

There is no word on any injuries at this time. It is unknown how long the interstate will be closed. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
