Investigators said videos involving children were discovered on Kevin Parker Hunter’s cellphone, leading to multiple charges and more than $800,000 in bonds.
ARANSAS PASS, Texas — An Aransas Pass man accused of sexual assault and child exploitation offenses now faces more than $800,000 in bonds following an investigation that began after inappropriate videos involving two children were discovered on his cellphone.

46-year-old Kevin Parker Hunter faces multiple charges, including sexual assault, invasive visual recording, and possession or promotion of lewd visual material depicting a child.
According to police, officers were dispatched to a westside neighborhood on May 26 after reports that inappropriate videos had been found on Hunter’s cellphone.
Investigators said the phone contained videos of juveniles in various states of undress as well as recordings of sexual encounters. Authorities seized the device and obtained a search warrant with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations.
After reviewing evidence extracted from the phone, investigators obtained arrest warrants on June 11. Hunter is now in San Patricio County Jail.
Court records show the following bonds were set for Hunter:
Sexual assault: $125,000 bondInvasive visual recording in a bath or dressing room: $125,000 bondPossession or promotion of lewd visual material depicting a child: $275,000 bondPossession or promotion of lewd visual material depicting a child: $275,000 bondAssault causing bodily injury-family violence: $5,000 bond
The combined bonds total $805,000.
Authorities have not released additional information about the children involved. The investigation remains ongoing.
