North Texans looking for a new career opportunity may want to add the Plano Event Center to their calendar this week. The City of Plano Economic Development team is partnering with CTIA, the wireless communications industry association, to host a Wireless Industry Career Fair on Thursday, June 18. The event will bring together 14 companies actively hiring for a wide range of positions, from entry-level jobs to management roles.

The free event aims to connect job seekers with employers in one of North Texas’ fastest-growing technology-related sectors.

A Growing Industry In North Texas

The Dallas-Fort Worth region has become a major hub for the wireless industry’s reverse logistics sector, which focuses on the repair, refurbishment, processing and redistribution of devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops and gaming systems.

As more consumers repair, trade in and recycle electronic devices, companies across the industry are expanding operations and seeking workers with a variety of skill sets. Career opportunities include positions in device repair, robotics, warehousing, logistics and supply chain management.

For job seekers interested in technology-related careers without necessarily pursuing traditional software or engineering roles, the event offers a chance to explore an industry that continues to grow throughout North Texas.

Meet Employers And Explore Opportunities

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with hiring companies, learn about available openings and gain insight into career paths within the wireless and technology sectors.

The event is designed for candidates at various stages of their careers, including those seeking entry-level opportunities, career changes or advancement into leadership roles. Organizers say the goal is to connect local talent with employers supporting one of the region’s most important and rapidly expanding industries.

The Wireless Industry Career Fair will take place on June 18, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Plano Event Center, located at 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano. The event is open to the public; however, attendees must register in advance through CTIA’s registration page.
