The Cowboys are set to add another rotation piece to their defensive front.
Dallas is expected to sign former Raiders defensive end Charles Snowden, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Dallas Morning News on Thursday. Snowden worked out with the Cowboys during the team’s first two minicamp practices and now appears to be signing on officially.
The 28-year-old spent the last two seasons with Las Vegas and started 18 games over two years for the Raiders. In 2025, he appeared in 15 games and totaled three sacks, five tackles for loss and an interception.
Originally an undrafted free agent signing by the Chicago Bears in 2021, he saw limited time in his rookie season before starting a stint that sent him bouncing around a few different practice squads. After being waived by Chicago in 2022, he signed on with Tampa Bay, but never ended up seeing the field. The Bucs eventually waived him in August of 2023. He’d sign with Vegas on a future/reserve deal in December.
His journey resulted in a two-year gap on his NFL résumé, but he found success with the Raiders in 2024 in his first on-field action since the 2021 season. In two seasons, he’s posted 67 tackles and 4.5 sacks for Vegas.
