LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) -A full day of live music and Tex-Mex is helping support children right here in Lubbock.
“Lubbock for the Kids” is hosting a musical fundraiser this Saturday, June 20, at Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant at 82nd Street and Quaker Avenue.
More than 20 local musicians are scheduled to perform throughout the day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The event raises money for the Children’s Home of Lubbock, helping cover everyday needs at the home.
Organizers say they’ve been “helping kids in our community since 2012,” and this year’s event continues that mission by combining local talent, food, and giving.
Families are encouraged to stop by, enjoy the music, and support the Children’s Home through donations and participation in the event.
