The City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the opening of the McAlister Park playground this Friday, June 19, 2026.
Funding for this playground was provided by George and Linda McMahan and would not have been possible without their generous donation.
In an effort to allow as many people as possible to enjoy this new playground, the grand opening ribbon-cutting will take place at a later date, with the playground being open for public use starting June 19.
