CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department is investigating a shooting that sent a woman to the hospital early Friday morning.
It happened just after 5:45 a.m. in the 7500 block of Bon Soir Drive, near Yorktown Boulevard and Staples Street.
Police say officers were called to the home and found a woman who had been shot. She was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. There is no word on the extent of her injuries at this time.

Very little is known about what led up to the shooting, but police say they do have a suspect they are questioning in connection with the incident.
The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) of the Corpus Christi Police Department was also called to the scene Friday morning to take photos and collect additional evidence.
No arrests have been made, but police say they will continue to update 3News as the investigation develops.
