“Some sellers want to get the best price, but they also value their time, which arguably is the most valuable thing to any high net worth person,” Roffers said. “And so our ability to generate a sale in a very time-efficient way is really appealing.”

The auction process means that the buyer has the opportunity of naming the price they are willing to spend, he said. A property like this one could see about 250 inquiries that result in five to 10 competing bidders, he said.

Texas is one of the auction firm’s largest markets, Roffers said.

“Highland Park is arguably the best of the best as it relates to Texas real estate and so to have, not only a property in that neighborhood, but such an iconic residence like the one that we’re offering, it is a rare occurrence,” Roffers said.
