BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Texas A&M baseball added another right-handed pitcher through the transfer portal, announcing the addition of Caleb Kimble from Houston.
Kimble spent his freshman season with the Cougars. He is the fourth pitcher A&M has picked up in the offseason along Johnny Nuanez (Wichita State), Jase Evangelista (UNLV) and Wade Cooper (Texas State). Kimble is the seventh overall player added to the Aggies roster this offseason.
The Houston native appeared in 18 games with the Cougars, including one inning at Blue Bell Park where Kimble struck out the side. In his freshman year, he posted a 3.97 ERA, allowed 13 hits and recorded 24 strikeouts.
Kimble will have three seasons of eligibility when he arrives in College Station.
