EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A convenience store in East El Paso was burglarized early Sunday, May 31, and investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying at least three people believed to be involved.

Police with the El Paso Police Department said that around 3:50 a.m., two suspects walked to the front doors of the Howdy’s store located at 1130 Joe Battle. The store was closed, but surveillance video shows the pair pulling on the doors until they were able to force them open, according to investigators.

Once inside, the two suspects stole several alcoholic beverages and ran from the store, getting into a vehicle driven by a third suspect, police said. The group fled eastbound on Rojas Drive. The getaway vehicle is possibly a gray Dodge Magnum.

Investigators described one suspect as wearing a black hood and mask, a white hooded jacket with a black logo on the back and accents, blue denim jeans, and dark shoes. The other suspect was described as wearing a black mask, a white hooded jacket, black pants, and red shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip online at www.cselpaso.org. Tips can be made anonymously, and information that leads to an arrest may qualify for a cash reward.
