ARLINGTON – The Cowboys fumbled four times on Monday night, losing two. The last fumble sealed the game for the Cardinals in a 27-17 victory.

Running back Javonte Williams fumbled with 4:34 left in the game after catching a short pass from quarterback Dak Prescott.

It seemed as if Williams’ forward progress was stopped before he was stripped of the ball by Cody Simon. Replays showed Williams lost the ball before his knee hit the turf and after it was recovered by Akeem Davis-Gaither, there seemed to be an issue if the play was stopped.

“I did ask that, they said you can not challenge forward progress,” coach Brian Schottenheimer said. “He was clearly, when they looked at it upstairs and our people told me, the ball was out.”

Jake Ferguson was also charged with a lost fumble. Overall, the Cowboys had three turnovers, the two fumbles and a Dak Prescott interception on a late heave with 1:19 to play.
