There is a big reason why UCLA’s recruiting class is ranked No. 16 in the nation for the Class of 2027.
It’s because of the work the Bruins have done recruiting the Dallas area.
Ray (6-6, 300) is rated the 88th-best offensive tackle in the nation. He had offers from Kansas State, Houston, Baylor and USC, among others.
The No. 2-ranked recruit in UCLA’s 22-player recruiting class is North Crowley four-star cornerback Jerry Outhouse Jr. The other two Dallas-area players committed to UCLA are Trophy Club Byron Nelson four-star defensive lineman George Toia and Richland four-star running back Jayshon Gibson.
Outhouse is rated the 12th-best cornerback in the nation, and Toia is ranked the 15th-best defensive lineman in the country. Gibson, rated the nation’s 33rd-best running back, ran for 2,263 yards and 41 touchdowns for a 9-4 regional semifinalist team.
