Ducks, Beavers attending week two tournament in Arlington, Texas, won’t face each other
Both the Oregon State Beavers and Oregon Ducks baseball teams will open the second week of the 2027 season in Texas.
The pair of clubs are both set to compete in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, in Arlington, Texas. The two won’t face one another, but will both be on site in Arlington for the second weekend of the year, from February 26-28.
Arkansas, Baylor, Iowa and Oklahoma State will round out the six-team field in Arlington.
Oregon State tentatively announced in its own press release that the Beavers will face Oklahoma State, Arkansas and Baylor at the tournament.
The Beavers are making their third trip to Arlington in the last four seasons, attending the series at the Rangers’ home in 2024 and 2025. Oregon State went 3-1 in 2024 and 2-1 in 2025 at Globe Life Field.
Oregon’s opponents were not announced. The Ducks are making their second trip to Arlington after they opened the 2024 season at the facility. Oregon went 2-1 at the 2024 Shriners Children’s College Showdown, beating Oklahoma and Baylor and falling to then-No. 18 Texas Tech.
A full schedule, including dates for individual matchups and first-pitch times, were not announced.
Reserved tickets go on sale Thursday morning and cost $156 dollars ($84 for children) for access to all of the games over three days. General admission tickets go on same “later this year” after the tournament’s full schedule is announced, according to the release.
