With the 2025-26 high school sports season ongoing, the El Paso Times will give readers a chance to vote to identify El Paso’s top athletes.
This week, readers can vote for which El Paso Times‘ El Paso Children’s Hospital high school male athlete had the best performance in football and cross country.

Here are this week’s nominees:

Antonio Arreola, San Elizario cross country. Arreola finished sixth at the UIL state meet in Class 4A.
Noah Garcia, Eastwood cross country. Finished 10th at the Class 6A cross country meet.
Noah Loweree, Eastwood cross country. Finished 11th at the Class 6A state cross country meet.
Pedro Chavez, Cathedral football. Against NMII, he passed for 288 yards and two TD passes. He also rushed for 37 yards.
Ryan Estrada, El Dorado football. In win vs. Americas, he rushed for 321 yards and scored six touchdowns. He also threw a 68-yard TD pass.
Josiah Nunez, Del Valle football. The wide receiver caught 10 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown in win vs. Burges.
Robert Serrano, Coronado football. In win vs. Socorro, he had 12 total tackles, two tackles for a loss, a sack, an interception and two pass breakups.
Rodrigo Martinez, Ysleta football. The junior quarterback accounted for the right total touchdowns in the win vs. Riverside.
