Only a few mansions were designed by the famous architect I.M. Pei.
In addition to Dallas landmarks like Dallas City Hall and the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, Pei is credited with just three mansions: One in Washington, D.C., one in Katonah, N.Y., and one in the Fort Worth area.
Located in Westover Hills, the mansion was listed for $22 million in early May.
The over 19,000-square-foot home includes seven bedrooms, three kitchens, two formal living rooms, two dining rooms, a garden room and an art gallery, according to the listing agents. Portions of the mansion’s roof are triangular, designed by Pei to grab light for paintings and large rooms, according to listing agents.
The home was built in 1969 for Anne Tandy — a director of First National Bank — and her husband, Charles Tandy, founder of the Tandy Corp.
