If you’ve spotted a big giraffe with rounded ears wandering around Texas Hill Country, please contact authorities and let them know you found Gracie, who has been missing from a ranch.
Gracie the giraffe is missing in Real County, Texas, about a two-hour drive outside of San Antonio. Officials said she went missing from Cedar Hollow Ranch and was last seen on a game camera west of the city of Leakey, according to the Real County Sheriff’s Office.
Gracie’s owner is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to her safe return, according to the sheriff’s office.

Real County Sheriff Nathan Johnson told the local news outlet KENS 5 that Gracie “found a way outside of the high game fence.”
“I chuckled when I got the call because it’s my first missing giraffe case,” Johnson told the outlet.
Johnson said Gracie’s owner reported she had gone missing on June 18. The owner has hired helicopters and used drones to try and track her down, the sheriff told the outlet. Authorities are worried Gracie could be injured by other animals such as coyotes or fall in the rugged terrain, he said.
Vick Jones, the manager of Cedar Hollow Ranch, told NBC News that Gracie is 3 or 4 years old and has been at the ranch since May.
“Everybody in the whole world seems to be looking for her,” Jones told NBC.
