Join us at the Old Bakery & Emporium on Saturday, November 1st, from 1- 4 pm, for the opening reception of our next art exhibit, Restoration. The exhibit features the work of renowned local artist and Air Force veteran Reji Thomas. This event is in partnership with AVAFest (Austin Veterans Art Festival). The event will feature live music from saxophonist Charmin Greene.
About the Artist:
Reji Thomas lives and works in Austin, Texas. Her acclaimed artwork is held in public places and private collections around the world. Some of her clients include the Texas State Capitol, Ann Richards, Barbara Jordan, B.B. King, The University of Texas, The Black Arts Alliance, Steven Spielberg, the Four Seasons Hotel, and the Texas Governor’s office.
Her work is in the collections of Mexico’s former president, Carlos Salinas & Queen Elizabeth of England.
About the Saxophonist:
Charmin Greene, hailing from Waco, TX, is a celebrated saxophonist known for her emotive playing and technical mastery. With over 20 years of experience in genres such as Pop, R&B, Jazz, and Gospel, she has performed with industry legends like Norman Brown, Richard Elliot, and Pam Hart.
