Assembly Icehouse in Plano is expanding to include an upscale adults-only lounge.
Since opening in late 2025, the restaurant and sports bar has become a “neighborhood favorite,” offering a family-friendly atmosphere, elevated comfort food, a spacious indoor-outdoor design and entertainment options, a news release said.
As part of the next phase of growth for the restaurant, the new lounge will offer a different experience for the 21 and up crowd. Spanning about 2,200 square feet, the adults-only lounge will take over the space formerly occupied by Tacoro Tacos & Tequila.
The lounge will offer a “refined atmosphere,” the release said, featuring a premium cocktail program, pool table and a vinyl listening experience with an extensive collection of records available. There will also be private spirit lockers that allow members and regulars to store their favorite bottles onsite for future visits.
Yes, another interesting feature: This lounge will offer memberships. Details about what’s included in the memberships, however, are not yet available.
Assembly Icehouse is attached to Assembly Park, a mixed-use development that replaced the former Plano Market Square Mall. It offers trails, restaurants, retail, office space and apartments.
Developed by hospitality group Blender Brands, Assembly Icehouse’s roughly 5,000-square-foot space features a rustic-industrial design, vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, more than 30 TVs and a covered patio overlooking Assembly Park’s central lawn.
The restaurant’s menu features favorites like the Tejas Philly, smashburgers, chicken and waffles, and its signature double-fried wings.
Details on the lounge’s name, opening date, membership opportunities and drink offerings will be announced in the coming months, according to the release.
