In a move that underscores both vision and collaboration, two of North Texas’ most respected REALTOR® organizations have joined forces to serve their members and communities better. The Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS® (GFWAR) and the Greater Lewisville Association of REALTORS® (GLAR) have finalized a strategic partnership that brings their collective strength under one umbrella, which is a milestone both associations describe as a model for how regional organizations can “LEAD Together.”
Approved by both Boards and membership after months of dialogue, the partnership represents far more than an administrative merger. It’s a shared commitment to advocacy, professional growth, and community service that has long defined North Texas REALTORS®.
This partnership is about expanding opportunity. Together, GFWAR and GLAR can deliver more resources, training and influence for every REALTOR® represented.
Building a Stronger Regional Voice
The new alliance formally aligns GLAR with GFWAR while maintaining a local presence through a GLAR Local Council. This council will continue to represent the greater Lewisville area, ensuring that local leadership and community engagement remain central to the organization’s mission.
For REALTORS®, the benefits are tangible. GLAR’s 1,200 members will have access to GFWAR’s full suite of professional development programs, technology tools and advocacy initiatives. That includes new resources like CubiCasa, a digital floor-plan technology, and RealSatisfied, a client feedback platform that helps REALTORS® track and enhance customer satisfaction.
The partnership also enhances access to the GFWAR Academy, the association’s in-house professional education program designed to help REALTORS® stay at the forefront of industry trends, technology and compliance standards.
Importantly, integration brings no disruption to members’ MLS access, dues or office locations. Instead, it builds on shared systems and shared goals to amplify regional representation at every level, from local city councils to the Texas Legislature and the National Association of REALTORS®.
A Partnership Rooted in Member Engagement
The success of this transition lies in its transparency. From the first member town hall discussions in August 2025, both associations emphasized open communication and member participation. Multiple town halls, FAQ sessions and a formal membership vote ensured that the partnership reflected broad input and understanding.
That process mirrors the values that define the REALTOR® profession itself: collaboration, accountability and trust. “Our members know that real estate is fundamentally about relationships,” said GLAR President Eyad Salloum. “This partnership shows how we can lead together, preserving local connections while building something stronger for the region as a whole.”
Honoring Legacy, Expanding Reach
A strong sense of identity and community engagement marks GLAR’s nearly 60-year history in the Lewisville area. By creating a GLAR Local Council within the GFWAR structure, the partnership ensures that this legacy continues as an integral part of a larger organization.
The move also reflects a practical reality: real estate markets have grown increasingly interconnected. REALTORS® in Fort Worth and Lewisville routinely serve clients across overlapping cities and counties. As housing demand and development continue to expand along the I-35 corridor, the ability to advocate for regional priorities, from infrastructure to housing affordability, has become more important than ever.
LEADing Together for the Future
The theme “LEADing Together” captures the spirit behind this partnership: Leadership, Engagement, Advocacy and Development. Each element speaks to the role REALTORS® play not only in helping clients buy and sell property, but also in shaping the economic and civic health of their communities.
By combining resources and aligning strategy, GFWAR and GLAR are positioned to:
Strengthen advocacy efforts on housing, private property rights and smart growth.
Expand professional development opportunities to help members thrive in a changing market.
Deepen community engagement, from volunteer initiatives to local policy input.
Foster leadership pipelines that reflect the region’s diversity and future potential.
The result is a larger organization, but also more local and better able to address the nuances of different communities while uniting around a common mission.

A Model for Regional Collaboration
In an era when many professional associations are seeking new ways to stay relevant and effective, the GFWAR-GLAR partnership offers a blueprint for what collaboration can achieve. It shows that growth doesn’t have to mean losing local connection, and that leadership is strongest when it’s shared.
As North Texas continues to grow, this GFWAR and GLAR REALTOR® community continues to meet the needs of the area, including advocating for the rights of homeowners at the local, state and national levels, LEADing Together for its members, clients and the region’s future.
