The Dallas Express and WBAP are offering readers and listeners a free way to kick off Independence Day week while celebrating DX’s fifth birthday.
America 250 & DX’s 5th Birthday Bash is scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Longhorn Icehouse, located at 1901 W. Northwest Highway in Dallas.
The event will feature a live concert by country artist Rich O’Toole, along with the deluxe 250th Anniversary re-release of his album American Kid.
Chris Putnam, CEO of The Dallas Express, previewed the event during a recent appearance on WBAP with James Parker.

The event will give DX readers, WBAP listeners, sponsors, and supporters a chance to gather ahead of America’s 250th anniversary.

General admission is free.
Guests who want reserved seating can purchase a two-top table for $50, which includes two drink tickets, or a four-top table for $100, which includes four drink tickets.
A reserved VIP booth for six people is available for $200 and includes six drink tickets, an exclusive VIP meet-and-greet with O’Toole, and a DX swag bag.
A VIP booth with 10 seats is available for $400 and includes 10 drink tickets, an exclusive pre-show VIP meet-and-greet with O’Toole, and a DX swag bag.
