If you’re a paranoid flyer and get to your gate two hours before your flight takes off, there’s no reason to sit around the airport hungry. North Texans, in particular, have plenty of options when it comes to fueling up before takeoff, including one new shop from a famed Louisiana chain.
Raising Cane’s, the New Orleans-born chicken-finger chain that has spread across Texas, officially opened its first restaurant inside Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Friday, June 19, feeding hungry flyers during Father’s Day Weekend. Flyers can find the Raising Cane’s inside Terminal B at Gate B19.
“The DFW Restaurant brings Raising Cane’s ONE LOVE – Craveable Chicken Finger Meals – to one of the busiest travel hubs in the world and will soon expand to around-the-clock, 24-hour service,” Raising Cane’s wrote in a news release. “Customers can enjoy premium Chicken Fingers marinated for at least 24 hours, hand-battered and cooked-to-order for every meal alongside buttery Cane’s Toast, crispy crinkle-cut fries, creamy coleslaw and the Brand’s iconic Cane’s Sauce, prepared fresh daily.”
Dallas and Fort Worth have a combined 20 Raising Cane’s between the two metros, according to ScrapeHero, with dozens more spread out across the DFW Metroplex. DFW International, meanwhile, has been ramping up its food offerings, submitting plans to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for PF Chang’s, Mozart’s Bakehouse, Auntie Anne’s, and more.
The new Raising Cane’s was first teased in September 2025 as the company submitted a TDLR filing for an $800,000 restaurant inside the airport. The 3,000-square-foot restaurant was originally expected to be completed by April 23, but TDLR filings are all subject to change without notice.
