As is tradition, the various SRO calendars are announced at the annual press conference, held alongside the 24 Hours of Spa. Stéphane Ratel, president and founder of SRO, announced the 2027 Intercontinental GT Challenge season calendar, which includes a significant change to the American round.

While it will still be an eight-hour race, it will no longer be held in Indianapolis, as the circuit may be undergoing work to replace the road course tarmac. Next May, the 8 Hours of Texas will take place in Austin, Texas. The 8 Hours of Texas will be the second round of the championship, following the traditional Bathurst 12 Hour in February.

The Nürburgring 24 Hours will return to the calendar and will take place at the end of May, one month before the Spa 24 Hours. Finally, in September, the last round of the championship will be held at Suzuka, with the 1000 km race, which was reinstated last year after the Covid crisis. This race will be run in conjunction with a Super GT round to maximize attendance.
