WATAUGA – Terry Lee Wood Jr., 86, went to be with God on June 20, 2026. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6 – 8 pm. at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suite B, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107. His service will be held at Northwood Church, 1870 Rufe Snow Dr., Keller, Texas 76248; at 1 pm on Friday, June 26, 2026. An interment will follow services in Greenwood Memorial Park at 3 p.m. Terry was born on September 1, 1939, to Terry Lee Wood Sr. and Eula H Wood. He had two brothers, Douglas Wood and Donald Wood, who have passed away and a sister, Eula May Rabah, who presently resides in Jordan. He also has three half-sisters, Amy Jones, Denice Brown and Lisa Rodriguez. He grew up on the North Side of Fort Worth, Texas, and he attended North Side High school. He later enlisted in the Navy. While he was in the Navy, the Destroyer he worked on, carried troops to assist in the Cuban Missile Crisis of the 1950’s. Terry owned and ran a number of restaurants. Then he got into construction, where he remodeled houses and businesses. Then he went on to build several new homes in the Hulen area, and other homes North of 820 in the Marine Creek area. He owned and remodeled some of the homes on the North Side of Fort Worth. But his favorite adventure was raising honeybees and producing honey products for use in almost every part of your life. He loved to go camping and would sometimes fish all night long. A lot of times, Terry would come back to the campsite with no fish at all. He loved the solitude of being alone, just him and God. He also had a keen love for music, and often sang karaoke in River Oaks, Texas, in the restaurant/bar that he himself owned. The last few years, Terry has resided in Watauga, Texas, and attended Northwood Church. He was very charismatic and loved God with every ounce of his being. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Terry is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jimmie Aileen Stout Wood. Jimmie entered the marriage with three children, Jana Melton, Mark Stout and Dale Stout. She also has six lovely grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two children from a previous marriage, Cheryl Lynn Widner and Danny Wood; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
