CROCKETT, Texas (KLTV) – Three men are behind bars in Hunt County after they were arrested in Crockett when a surveillance camera identified a vehicle believed to be involved in a robbery in Royse City, according to the Crockett Police Department.
Edward Davion Cannon, 23; James Hoyd White; and Aaron Oscar Carter, 28, all of Houston, were held Saturday on $75,000 bonds each on a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity, according to jail records.
On Friday, Anderson County deputies contacted Houston County dispatchers regarding a surveillance camera identifying a vehicle believed to be involved in a theft of $40,000 during a robbery in Royse City.

A Houston County deputy saw the vehicle turn onto Loop 304 from U.S. Highway 287 before continuing toward FM 229, and a Crockett police officer stopped the vehicle for speeding near the intersection of Loop 304 and State Highway 7 West, according to an affidavit.
During the traffic stop, officers determined one of the men had a warrant for assault in Harris County, and he was arrested, according to an affidavit.
Officers found about $40,000 in cash concealed in the man’s clothing, along with a black mask and black gloves, according to an affidavit.
After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, officers found additional black masks and gloves and dark-colored clothing matching a description provided by Royse City detectives, according to an affidavit.
The vehicle’s remaining two occupants were detained by Crockett police at the request of the Royse City Police Department until Royse City detectives arrived, who arrested the other men, according to an affidavit.
