Count down to our The Good Stuff 10th Anniversary Block Party with 10 of “the good stuff” about Plano.

For the 10 days leading up to our 10th anniversary block party, we’re counting down 10 things we love about Plano by celebrating The Good Stuff. What is the good stuff, you ask? 

Well for today’s countdown, we thought we’d ask the highest elected official in Plano, Mayor John Muns. Here’s what he came up with:

Our people are amazing
Our schools are amazing
Our companies and small businesses are amazing
Our parks/green spaces are amazing
We are a very Safe City
Our medical facilities/hospitals are amazing
Our citizens enjoy a high quality of life
Our infrastructure is amazing. Not the sexy thing on a list, but people appreciate this.

Mayor Muns was elected as mayor in 2021, becoming the 40th mayor of Plano. He previously served on the Plano ISD Board of Trustees, the planning and zoning commission, the YMCA, Plano Orchestra and civic center boards. Fun fact: Muns’ father, James Muns, was the mayor of Plano from 1992-1996.
