The group set up near 48th Street and Avenue Q, across the street from the Lone Star Inn.
They’re asking for medical supplies, including first aid supplies, masks, and other necessities. They are also collecting money to send to those in need. They tell us anything you can donate is appreciated.
One of the volunteers said she was moved to help, when she saw the destruction.
“I’m not from Venezuela and probably will not go over there. But this is my people, this is something I can do from here that helps the suffering over there – the little kids, the pregnant women, everybody that’s suffering over there in Venezuela – I can make a difference with a tiny little bit.”
The group will again be set up at 48th and Avenue Q, from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 28. For more information, you can also contact Pastor Ángel López with Iglesia de Jesus el Mesias at 806-559-8103.
