Dallas-Fort Worth is headed into a hot, dry Sunday with more sweltering temperatures in store as the week progresses.
High temperatures are expected to reach the upper 90s, with the heat index as high as 104, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. Low temperatures are forecast to be in the 70s.
A southerly wind of 10 to 15 mph is expected to persist throughout the day. Wind gusts could reach up to 30 mph, the weather service said.
The remainder of the week is forecast to stay hot and dry, with high temperatures in the high 90s and 100s and lows in the 70s and 80s.
