MANSFIELD, TX – Joyce Ann Gray Crump passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 8th, 2026 in Independence Chapel at Greenwood Mausoleum, 3210 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, TX. Reception: 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, July 8th, 2026 in suite C & D at Greenwood Funeral Home, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, TX. Joyce was born on May 28,1942, to Olean and Jack L. Gray. From the beginning, she brought light, laughter, and joy to those around her. She was the oldest of six children, including her brother, Jack Olen Gray; her sisters, Rosie and Paula; and her twin brothers, Mickey and Michael Gray, who passed away at birth. Joyce graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1960. While attending Poly, she met the love of her life, T.J. Crump. They were married on June 4, 1960, beginning a loving partnership that lasted more than 66 years. Together, Joyce and T.J. welcomed three children: Darrell, Denea’, and Derek. Their family grew to include 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous joy and pride. A faithful follower of Jesus Christ, Joyce lived her life with kindness, compassion, and a servant’s heart. She enjoyed successful careers as a hairdresser and in technical publications, bringing dedication and excellence to her work. She also generously volunteered at Arlington Memorial Hospital and at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, where she found great fulfillment in helping others. Joyce embraced life with enthusiasm and style. She had a fantastic sense of fashion, loved shopping, and always carried herself with grace and confidence. She enjoyed traveling with T.J., especially on cruises, where she delighted in exploring new places and making lasting memories. She loved dancing, singing, and gathering with family and friends. Joyce also had a playful and competitive side. She loved card games and was known as a brilliant craps player. Whether at a casino, around a card table, or enjoying a cruise vacation, she brought energy, laughter, and fun wherever she went. Above all else, Joyce’s greatest joy was her family. She loved them more than anything in the world and treasured every moment spent together. Her grandchildren fondly remember the treats she kept in the cupboard-always stocked and always within easy reach. It was one of the many ways she showed her love and thoughtfulness. Joyce had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. She left everyone better than she found them. Her gorgeous blue eyes sparkled with kindness, her warm smile and infectious laughter brought joy wherever she went, and her generous spirit and unwavering love touched countless lives. She never stopped smiling, never stopped laughing, and never stopped caring for those around her. Joyce is survived by her beloved husband, T.J. Crump; her children, Darrell (Brenda), Denea’ (Rich), and Derek (Shanon); her sister, Rosie (Jim Phillips); her sister-in-law, Debbie Gray; her brother-in-law, Gene Braudaway; her sister-in-law, Florine Snow; her brother-in-law, Harold Crump (Sue); and numerous cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Joyce’s legacy is one of faith, love, laughter, service, generosity, and devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will endure for generations. The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to the devoted staff at Avalon Memory Care, who became angels in Joyce’s life. They surrounded her with compassion, patience, and unconditional kindness, ensuring she was always treated with dignity, respect, and love. Their extraordinary care brought comfort not only to Joyce but also to our entire family. We will forever be thankful for the blessing they were to her.
