For the first time ever, the Pharaohs of Egypt are through to the knockout rounds at the World Cup.
Their next opponent? The Socceroos of Australia at Dallas Stadium in Arlington.

Egypt has advanced to the knockout rounds at the World Cup for the first time in history. They got out of Group G this year largely because of a surprising draw with Belgium in their opener and a dominant 3-1 victory over New Zealand in Game 2. The Pharaohs will meet the Socceroos for the first time at a World Cup on Friday.
Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah is the biggest X-factor in this game. He was subbed off in the team’s final group stage match against Iran with an apparent hamstring injury. The UEFA Champions League and Premier League winner with Liverpool would be the best player on the pitch if he’s fit for Friday.
Egyptian fans are having a fantastic time at the World Cup so far, celebrating in the streets from Seattle to Cairo when their team advanced to the knockout stages. Expect more of the same if the Pharaohs are able to knock off Australia in the Round of 32.
