PLANO — A woman was flown to the hospital Sunday evening after being shot in Madison County.

It happened around 6 p.m. on North 5725 West in Plano, according to Madison County Sheriff Ron Ball.

Ball says the shooting occurred inside a home, and the 42-year-old woman was airlifted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He says her condition is unknown.

Detectives are on the scene gathering evidence, and no suspects have been named.

Ball says the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.
