The Fourth of July is almost here, and North Texas is packed with ways to celebrate. Whether you’re planning ahead for fireworks shows or making last-minute decisions once the holiday arrives, there is plenty to do.
From large-scale displays and community festivals to live music, food events and neighborhood gatherings, celebrations are spread across the region in nearly every direction. However you choose to mark the holiday, there’s no shortage of options to take in the spirit of Independence Day.
Allen USA
June 27 | Celebration Park, Allen
Kick off Independence Day early with Allen’s largest summer celebration returns with live music, food trucks and family-friendly activities. The evening concludes with one of North Texas’ biggest fireworks displays.
Addison Kaboom Town!
July 3 | Addison Circle Park, Addison
One of the nation’s largest Independence Day celebrations returns with fireworks, an air show, live music and townwide watch parties across Addison. The event features food and beverage options, high-energy entertainment and a front-row view of the aerial fireworks spectacular that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
Paws & Stripes
July 3 | Kaleidoscope Park, Frisco
Start the weekend of Freedom Fest with a dog-friendly competition where pups can participate in playful events and races. The evening includes timed activities for dogs, on-site check-in with waivers, and requires all pets to be leashed when not competing and up to date on vaccinations.
Red, White & You in Garland
July 3 | Downtown Garland Square, Garland
Live music, food trucks, family-friendly activities and interactive attractions come to the historic downtown square. The free event builds toward a fireworks finale that lights up the skyline and kicks off the July 4th holiday weekend.
Sparks & Stripes
July 3–4 | Levy Event Plaza, Irving
Celebrate with a two-day celebration with live entertainment and a fireworks show over Lake Carolyn. The festivities include an evening gathering at Levy Event Plaza with gates opening early for families to enjoy music, community activities and a lakeside fireworks display honoring the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Sensory Sensitive 4th of July Celebration
July 3 | The Sound at Cypress Waters, Coppell
A free event designed for guests with autism, sensory sensitivities, veterans and pets. The celebration replaces fireworks with a low-sensory “Star Spangled Glow” projection show and features live music by Buffett Beach, along with balloon art, face painting, animal encounters and a designated calm zone.
Freedom Fest Block Party
July 4 | Riders Field, Frisco
A patriotic block party featuring live music, food vendors, a classic car show, Hometown Heroes recognition and a ceremonial program hosted by the Frisco American Legion. The evening concludes with a RoughRiders game and a fireworks show around 10 p.m.

July 4 | PGA District, Frisco
Live music from Grammy-winning artist Darius Rucker, festive programming throughout the PGA District and an evening finale of a drone show followed by a large fireworks display over the fairway.
Red, White, & Brews: 4th of July Celebration
July 4 | Legacy Food Hall, Plano
A free Independence Day party featuring live DJ sets, lawn games, face painting and festive summer food and drinks. Guests can enjoy burgers and hot dogs from Son of a Butcher, frozen treats, boozy shaved ice and an afternoon of entertainment in the Box Garden.
Red, White and BOOM!
July 4 | Downtown McKinney & Towne Lake Park, McKinney
McKinney’s Independence Day begins with a morning parade and block party in historic downtown, followed by an evening concert and fireworks finale at Towne Lake Park. Families can enjoy live entertainment, local dining and shopping and a fireworks show launched from the Grady Littlejohn Softball Fields.
Plano’s All American 4th
July 4 | Collin College Spring Creek Campus, Plano
Celebrate the 4th of July and America’s 250th anniversary with Plano’s annual Fourth of July event featuring food trucks, a kids zone, live entertainment and a fireworks show. The celebration is held in the Collin College parking lot and hillside area.
Party in the USA 5K
July 4 | Harold Bacchus Community Park, Frisco
Start the 4th with a community 5K run beginning at Harold Bacchus Community Park. The event takes place from 8–10 a.m.

Klyde Warren Park Independence Day Celebration
July 4 | Klyde Warren Park, Dallas
Dallas’ official Independence Day celebration features live music, food trucks, family-friendly programming and a fireworks finale over the skyline. The free, public event includes performances by Emerald City Band and concludes with a major fireworks show.
Celebrate Coppell: Parade Down Parkway & Party in the Park
July 4 | Andrew Brown Park East, Coppell
Coppell’s celebration begins with a morning parade along Parkway Boulevard, followed by an evening festival at Andrew Brown Park East featuring live music, food vendors, community activities and a fireworks finale in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.
Summer Saturdays: Round of 16
July 4 | The Star, Frisco
Spend the 4th watching the World Cup knockout stage viewing at Tostitos Championship Plaza, complete with a mini soccer pitch, themed activations and match-day programming throughout The Star District.
Yankee Doodle Parade
July 4 | Downtown Denton Square, Denton
Enjoy a patriotic morning parade through historic downtown Denton. The event invites community members to line the square in red, white and blue as floats, performers and local groups make their way through the city center.
Independence Day at The Texas Pool
July 4 | The Texas Pool, Plano
Join a family-friendly pool party with BBQ grills, picnic areas, a snack bar and traditional pool games. Guests are welcome to bring coolers with non-alcoholic beverages and enjoy special appearances from “Shellebrations” mermaids, offering storytelling, photo opportunities and more.
July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza
July 4 | Lake Grapevine
Celebrate America’s 250th Golden Jubilee with an enhanced fireworks show honoring Grapevine Mayor William D. Tate’s decades of service. The 18-minute fireworks display launches over Lake Grapevine at 9:30 p.m., lighting up the night sky in a special commemorative finale.
Liberty By The Lake
July 4 | The Colony Five Star Complex, The Colony
Enjoy a full day of community festivities, starting with the Liberty 5K and Fun Run, followed by a morning parade and an evening festival featuring live music, rides, food vendors and a fireworks finale over the lake.
