ALEDO – J. Don Walker, D.C., D.A.C.B.R., affectionately known as Don, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on June 25, 2026, in Aledo, Texas at the age of 73. Born on November 25, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, he was the beloved second born of Weldon Maurice Walker and Annie Arlee Walker. Don grew up primarily in Aledo before moving to Deer Park to attend Chiropractic College. While attending school he met and fell for the love of his life, Kathy. After marriage the pair came back to Fort Worth where they set up a successful Chiropractic practice and raised a wonderful family. Don and Kathy shared a working life together at the office for 40 years and a happy loving marriage for 49 years. In the beginning of 1978, Don took over the practice of his childhood Chiropractor (Wes Culwell, D. C.). He later went on to achieve his Diplomate in Radiology in 1988. In 2009, his son, Jason, joined the practice and the two worked together until Don retired in October 2018. He loved being a chiropractor and loved not only helping his patients feel their best but also getting to know them. He touched the lives of all who entered the office during the 40 years he was in practice. Don loved to learn and experience different hobbies throughout his life. At the age of 18, he achieved his pilot’s license. He flew for years, taking his family on vacation via the plane to places such as Galveston Beach and Colorado. He enjoyed sailing on his sailboat when he and Kathy were first wed. After he retired, he liked going on road trips in his electric car. Looking up charge points and planning when and where to stop was a highlight of any trip. He had the pleasure of traveling to 30 of the 50 states either with his plane or his electric car. Don also took pleasure in golfing, playing the piano, watching movies, reading and going for walks with Kathy. Don was the very best of men. He was hard-working, jovial, kind and caring. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his sister, Laurie Hensel (Paul); brother, Gary Walker (Rita); sons, Jonathan (Amanda) and Jason (Brittany); grandchildren, Jacy, Daniel, Sam, William and Benjamin; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
