Hattie B’s Hot Chicken was founded by a father and son in Nashville, Tennessee in 2012, per the news release. The restaurant is now a Michelin-recommended restaurant. Restaurants with this honor use quality ingredients that are well-cooked, according to the Michelin Guide.

The restaurant now has locations in six different states, with four locations in Texas. The Plano location is its second location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. A Hattie B’s media representative said its first location in Dallas opened in Deep Ellum in 2022 before relocating to Oak Lawn in October 2024.
