Texas is about to get another reality star-or at least his famed real estate company.

Ryan Serhant, CEO of luxury real estate company Serhant and star of Netflix’s Owning Manhattan, is establishing a presence in the Lone Star State. Serhant announced that the brokerage company launched in Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio with 13 founding agents and partners with six independent brokerages. Houston native Susana Sarvis will serve as managing director and broker of record.

“[Texas] is centrally located, and it’s experiencing a lot of growth right now, seeing some significant migration and relocation from the coasts,” Serhant told Realtor.com. “It has cities, rural, farm, suburbs, coastline-Texas has it all when it comes to real estate. Texas also has it all when it comes to industry representation.”

Texas has been a hotspot for migration over the past few years, for people and companies alike. U-Haul found that more people moved to Texas in 2025 than any other state. But other analysis shows its growth may be slowing. Net domestic migration to Texas fell for three straight years, dropping to its lowest level in 20 years, the New York Times reported in January. However, the Lone Star State is still attracting more new residents than others.

Companies are also enamored with Texas, with several moving their headquarters here or opening major offices, including Chevron, KFC, SpaceX, X, Nasdaq and Realtor.com.

“There is energy, aerospace, tech, manufacturing and logistics-and just as these corporations are growing, so are the real estate needs across all the markets in Texas,” Serhant said.

The former actor turned real estate mogul founded his namesake company in New York City in 2020. Serhant’s company now has a presence in 17 states since it began expanding in 2023. The company also includes an AI platform called S.MPLE that automates tasks for agents, a media production studio, and branding and marketing services.

Serhant also has a reputation for using social media to market luxury properties, earning more than 10 million followers across social media accounts. Two seasons of Owning Manhattan are currently available on Netflix.

Besides a business interest, Serhant mentioned he had another connection to Texas.

“Fun fact: I was born in Texas, so it’s a little bit of a homecoming also,” Serhant said.
