John Sharp, lovingly known to his family as JD, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Benbrook, Texas, at the age of 90. John proudly served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. Following his distinguished military career, he spent 15 years as an instructor with General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin, where he continued to share his knowledge and dedication with others. Above all, John was a loving father and devoted family man. His strength, kindness, and unwavering support were a constant comfort to those around him. He brought joy to every gathering with his wonderful sense of humor and was always ready to share his financial expertise with others. John cherished his family and his legacy of love, laughter, compassion, and resilience will live on in their hearts forever. John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marie Sharp, and his son, David Sharp. He is survived by his son, John Sharp and wife, Patti; his daughters, Terry Griffith and husband, Jeff, and Sharon Sharp; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren on the way. John will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his strength, generosity, warm heart, infectious sense of humor, and the love he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
