Texas authorities named a Fort Worth man the featured fugitive for July on the state’s most wanted sex offenders list.
The reward for information leading to the arrest of 32-year-old Alejandro Villegas has increased to $6,000 for tips received this month. Villegas has been wanted out of Tarrant County since January 2026 for a probation violation on an original charge of sexual assault of a child. The Fort Worth Police Department issued a second warrant for him in March 2026 for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Villegas stands 6 feet tall and weighs about 185 pounds. He maintains ties to Fort Worth, Arlington, and Dallas. In 2017, Arlington police arrested him for robbery, and he received 36 months of probation. Grand Prairie police arrested him in 2022 for sexual assault of a child involving a 16-year-old girl. He was convicted and sentenced to 96 months of probation.

Funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, Texas Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for tips that lead to the arrest of fugitives on the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists. So far in 2026, DPS and partner agencies have arrested 44 such fugitives, including 32 sex offenders and eight gang members, with $61,500 paid in rewards.
Tipsters must call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), submit a web tip through the DPS website, or send a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link under the “About” section. All tips remain anonymous, and callers receive a tip number rather than using a name. DPS investigators work with local agencies to select fugitives for the lists, which appear with photos on the DPS website.
