FORT WORTH – Jose “Joe” Rodriguez Pedroza, 86, passed away on June 25, 2026. Funeral Service: 12 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2026, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107; with a visitation one hour prior to service beginning at 11 a.m. An interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. Joe was born on October 5, 1939, in Eola, Texas, to parents, Genaro Pedroza and Mercedes Rodriguez. He graduated from Eola High School in 1959. He then attended Commercial College Fort Worth in 1960 for Bookkeeping and Technical Institute of Fort Worth in 1976 for Blueprint Reading. He was married to his beloved wife, Carolina Pedroza, for 64 years. Together, they built a life centered on family, raising their children in Crowley, Texas, and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and tradition. Joe took great pride in his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. Family gatherings, shared meals, and time spent together were some of his greatest joys. Joe dedicated 27 years of his career to General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin, before retiring in 2002. He was known for his strong work ethic and reliability, providing for his family with dedication and pride. Outside of work, Joe found joy in simple but meaningful passions. He loved gardening, sports, traveling, and most of all, spending time with his family. He coached many youth baseball and softball teams, guiding not just with skill, but with patience and encouragement-leaving a lasting impact on countless young lives. He loved playing dominoes both at work with his co-workers and teaching the game to his grandkids. Joe’s life is a testament to the importance of family, faith, and tradition. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the love he gave so freely, and the generations he helped shape. Joe was preceded by his parents, Gernardo and Mercedes Pedroza; daughter, Florinda Chappa; brother, Felix Pedroza; and sisters, Beda Gonzales, Isabel Pedroza, and Amelia Perez. He is survived by his wife, Carolina Pedroza; daughter, Jan Harris (Don); son, Joe Pedroza Jr. (Melissa); daughter, Yolanda Pedroza; daughter, April Martinez (John); grandchildren, Priscilla Whitehead, Erich Guzman (Denise), John David Chappa, Frank Chappa, Brieana Ceraldi (Zachary), Joshua Martinez (Olivia), Justin Harris (Katrina), and Chris Harris; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Pascula Gamez; brother, Mike Pedroza (Gloria); and many loved nieces and nephews.
