EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 36-year-old man was arrested Thursday in the Lower Valley, accused of following a woman to a gas station restroom to possibly record her.
Ivan Abraham Ponce is facing voyeurism charges after investigators say they responded to reports of a suspicious person hanging around the women’s bathroom at the Circle K store located at the 12200 block of Eastlake Boulevard.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, the victim reported that on Monday, at around 9:36 a.m., she believed someone was trying to watch her or record her as she was going to the restroom.

Deputies said they reviewed surveillance video, which showed a man following a woman into the restroom, and identified the suspect as Ponce.
The popular social media account @therealfitfamelpaso shared what looks like the surveillance video from the incident.

Then, days later on Thursday, the Sheriff’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit found Ponce in the 7900 block of Gateway East and arrested him.
Jail records show Ponce was booked and released the same day after posting a surety bond of $10,000.
