Two Arlington food establishments, including an ice cream kiosk at AT&T Stadium, were temporarily closed for critical violations during June 14-27 health inspections, according to data from the city compiled by the Star-Telegram.
Arlington restaurants are scored on a 100-point system, with 100 being a perfect score. Restaurants and other places that serve food that score 75 or less require a follow-up inspection, and a score of 70 is considered extremely poor.
Incredible Burger, located inside The Parks Mall at 3811 S. Cooper St., scored 77 on June 23. The inspector found a roach infestation, unsafe food storage and poor handwashing practices, according to a city of Arlington spokesperson. The fast-food facility was closed but allowed to reopen June 24 after a follow-up inspection.
One of the Blue Bell kiosks inside AT&T Stadium, 900 E. Randol Mill Road, was closed by the city because it had no handwashing station or sanitizing solution, according to the spokesperson. The kiosk scored 85 on June 17. A follow-up inspection is scheduled for the near future.
Two other facilities received low scores and failed the health inspection:
Totally Tea, located inside The Parks Mall at 3811 S. Cooper St., scored 68 on June 23. The inspector found a lack of overall cleanliness, poor handwashing practices and pest control issues, according to the city spokesperson. The facility scored 81 during a June 24 follow-up inspection.
Damian’s Cajun Soul Cafe at 2001 SE Green Oaks Blvd. scored 69 on June 24. The inspector noted improper food storage and marking and problems with overall cleanliness, the spokesperson said. The restaurant will undergo a follow-up inspection soon.
Eighteen establishments, including multiple bars and food stands at AT&T Stadium, received a perfect score of 100.
