Rochester, N.Y. — A 24-year-old Rochester man was hospitalized after a shooting late Saturday night on the city’s west side, according to Rochester police.

Officers responded to the area of Texas and Child Street around 11:45 p.m. for the report of a person shot.

Upon arriving, they found the 24-year-old with at least one gunshot wound to his lower body.

He was brought to Strong Memorial Hospital, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

There are no suspects in custody, and the incident remains under investigation.
